About Us

A Calgary Cabinet Shop, Built on Measuring Twice

Calgary Apex Cabinets designs, builds and installs custom cabinetry from our own shop in northeast Calgary — no franchise model, no imported modular boxes, just a local team that draws, cuts and installs every project.

How we got here

Calgary Apex Cabinets started as a two-person shop taking on cabinet repair and small built-in work around northeast Calgary. Over the years the work shifted toward full custom kitchens and bathrooms as more clients asked for cabinetry designed around their actual homes rather than picked from a limited stock catalogue — and that's stayed the core of the business ever since.

We're still a Calgary-based, owner-involved shop rather than a franchise. The people who measure your kitchen are the same people whose names are on the drawings that go to our fabrication floor, and our installers are on staff, not a rotating list of subcontractors.

How we work

Every project starts with an in-home measure, because no two Calgary homes — whether a century home in Inglewood or a new build in Airdrie — share quite the same wall conditions, floor levels or light. From there we draw a layout, walk through physical finish samples in person, and don't cut material until the drawing is signed off.

Fabrication happens in our own shop using cabinet-grade plywood and solid wood components suited to Calgary's dry winters and chinook humidity swings, and installation is handled by our own crews rather than handed to a third party once the cabinets are built.

What we believe about cabinetry

  • A cabinet should be built for the room it's going into, not the other way around
  • Materials should be chosen for how they perform in a Calgary winter, not just how they look in a showroom
  • Design and fabrication should stay under one roof, so accountability doesn't get lost between subcontractors
  • Small jobs — a repair, a hardware swap — deserve the same care as a full kitchen
How a Project Runs

Four stages, start to finish

01

Measure & Consult

An in-home measure and conversation about how you use the room, your budget and your rough timeline.

02

Design & Drawings

Scaled floor plans, elevations and physical finish samples, refined until the drawing is exactly right.

03

Build

Fabrication in our Calgary shop using cabinet-grade materials, to the tolerances shown in your sign-off drawing.

04

Install & Adjust

Professional installation, followed by a return visit once doors and drawers have settled into daily use.

What Calgary homeowners are saying

★★★★★

“The team measured everything twice before cutting a single board, and it showed — every reveal line in our Tuscany kitchen is dead even.”

— Homeowner, Tuscany, Calgary
★★★★★

“We had them reface our kitchen instead of a full replacement and it looks like a brand new room for a fraction of the cost we were quoted elsewhere.”

— Homeowner, Signal Hill, Calgary
★★★★★

“Our acreage kitchen near De Winton was a big, unusual layout and they were the only shop that didn't try to talk us into a standard island size.”

— Homeowner, De Winton
